Meme Madness
Anitra November 9, 2007 Blast! I've been tagged again, but this time by Fran. The name of the game is coming up with 7 Random and/or Weird Facts about myself, then tagging seven other bloggers to do the same. I'm thankful for being a self-proclaimed weird-o. It makes for such a colorful life!

I was cast as one of four main characters, Eden Vasquez, for a three-hour epic, err, low-budget movie, called Devil's Proxy. The movie took about 2.5 years to make, and suffered two major cast changes since other leads couldn't handle the commitment. But my girl Susie and I stuck it out til the end, and managed to laugh with the directors every step of the way.
- I burn pancakes.
- I have bad car karma. Once I rear-ended someone with my Geo Metro, at a speed of 5 mph, and totalled the dang car. Years later my Mazda 3 was stolen right out of my driveway. The car was later recovered, and fixed up from all the exterior damage and interior pot smell. Two days later, I backed the car into a sharp object and destroyed the bumper. When we moved to Kentucky, we transported the Mazda on a car trailer. Long story short, a garbage truck (equating to 20 tons) rear ended the trailer at full force. The Mazda didn't survive. Now, like all Kentuckians, I drive a 4 wheel drive monster truck.
- I took a typing class in High School and used to practice at home by dictating television commercials with my imaginary keyboard. Thanks to all that practice, I can type about 75 wpm.
- I sponsored a group of soldiers in Afghanistan with my friend and former co-worker Diana, and am hoping to send my second care package full of toiletries by the end of this month. Two of my soldiers commented on my guestbook. How awesome is that?!
- I was a classical flutist for ten years, studied under the second chair for the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, and came close to trying out for the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra.
- I whistle or sing to myself all the time. My favorite song to whistle is the ice cream truck's theme song with my grandpa. He usually takes the melody and I take the harmony. On another musical note, I love American Idol and attend the summer concert every year with the Rochester Area American Idol Fan Club (Susie, Megan, Ian, Scooter, and me!)

a classical flutist!! wow! i learned to play the flute in the 3rd grade for a school recital. that's about the extent of my musical talent. haha!
Hi Sarcastic Mom and Mama... I get my musical talent from both sides of the family, so whistling and playing an instrument was a requirement. hee hee. I'm actually gearing up to write about my Grandpa, a guitarist, next. :) And, Leila, I'm so happy that I was the first to tag you in a meme. hee hee.
